If our paths should cross … you would get to know a young and dynamic family who decided to leave everything behind in Holland and move to France. Why? To live our dream to manage a campsite, one of the most inspiring touristic scenes in the world! The idea of taking over a campsite in the South of France didn’t just sprung our minds. It was already years before that we talked about it. We finally decided to try and make it work which resulted in our first season as managers in 2011 in the department of Isere. After two fine seasons we came across an enthusiastic group called ‘Pausado’. The feeling was mutual and we decided to work together. This resulted in a season of cooperating with one of their campsites in the department of the Drôme, near the village of Die. The goal was ever to manage a campsite on our own with help and support of the group. Ever since one of the associates ran in to the campsite of the Vallee Heureuse, they were sold. And here we are, at the beginning of our first season of managers of this magnificent campsite. Our dream has come true!
‘La Vallee Heureuse’ is a quiet and calm place and is as close to nature as you can get. Villages like ‘Saint-Remy ’ and ‘Baux de Provence’ are worth a visit and you can practice every kind of sport like climbing and hiking… The campsite offers you a wide variety of plants, flowers and other vegetation and is still one of the places where you can really camp. We will do our best to preserve the authenticity of the campsite while on the other hand we add a little of our personalities and experience as well. Our scene constantly evolves due to certain demands. This is why we will also develop other, more comfortable, solutions of camping.
Because of our former employments as physical educators, we hope to bring more live to the activities on the campsite for both young and ‘old’. We want to make sure that your stay with us will be a memorable one.
We hope to welcome you soon in our little paradise, where you can spend days on end climbing and visiting the beautiful regions of the Luberon, The Alpilles and far most The Provence!
